day six.. exhaustion was setting in, but the fabulous just kept coming!
badgley mischka: BM is known for really gorgeous evening wear, and the gowns that they showed on tuesday were really beautiful, but it was the sweet day dresses and separates that really caught my eye! again, lots of white, but the swingy sheer tops with thoughtful details and the micro-short shorts have a chic "weekend easy" feel that makes them appropriate for brunch... or can transition to night with a great heel and some sassy lipstick. i love the high-waisted shorts equally as much... they're well fitted and have a delightful retro feel, especially with the hair! i loved the smooth crown and curly/voluminous length that they sent down the runway...it fit perfectly with the feminine but retro feel of the clothes and i want to try it out on my own hair!
yigal azrouel: omg...minimalism at it's finest!!!!!! for someone who loves an embellished cocktail gown probably more than the average girl.. my love of minimalistic everyday looks sometimes throws people off, but there is NOTHING more chic than clean, simple cuts that flatter. yigal azrouel's spring collection made me bounce around in my seat, i was so excited! the tailored tuxedo jacket..GET OUT OF TOWN...that's to die for! i also love the white pants, with a somewhat loose, forgiving fit, paired with the sheer dove grey tank top..yum. and seriously..the hip length black strapless top with the straight black pants... it has my name written all over it. the whole collection is just crazy chic, downtown cool, and all the pieces go from day to night. what more could a girl ask for?! yigal azrouel..i die.
days seven and eight coming up... and nyfw saved some of the best for last!! marchesa, oscar, jeremy laing.. enough to make a girl swoon!
