grace coddington is the reason why vogue is vogue. she is the driving force behind anna wintour's magazine, and every fashionista who grew up reading vogue has been influenced (knowingly or unknowingly) by the fantastical shoots she has styled over the years. her work is a romantic's dream, a fantastical play world where anything is possible. all of grace's photographs look as if they've taken place in another world, where fashion and beauty live hand-in-hand with weightlessness, animals that talk, and gardens that are perpetually overgrown with vibrantly red flowers and grass that is so green, it seems to have been painted. grace has this wonderful ability to find clothes that tell a story, move with the wind, and look to be animated by magic. and, as anyone who's seen the september issue knows, grace actually is a crazy cat lady....a true, fantastical eccentric with beautiful poofy orange hair. cheers to a woman who know how to create real magic. j'dore, grace!
