the Kate Middleton tour of Canada continues and on day two, she spent the day in one of her favorite designers, Issa. She spent the sunlit hours of the day in a very chic, conservative white ruffled 3/4 sleeve Issa dress with red pumps, an incredibly fabulous maple leaf fascinator (!!!!) and the diamond maple leaf brooch that the Queen lent to her (how major, right? borrowing diamonds from the Queen!). the ensamble proved to be a bit matchy-matchy for some people's tatse, but Kate looks regal, royal, and quite pretty - and perfectly appropriate as the future head of state.
(um, again, can i please get on the Kate Middleton diet?)
for evening festivities, Kate changed into a stunning purple jersey Issa cocktail dress, keeping with the diamond maple leaf brooch, and tying her much coveted hair back. a safe choice, but the Duchess looks very chic, and again, Kate's strength is choosing clothes that don't wear her...but instead goes for dresses that let her beautiful smile and gracious poise shine through.
that guy she's married to kept it casual and ditched the tie. it's actually really amazing to see Kate and that guy she's married to interact and smile at each other so lovingly. it's nice to see a royal wedding that is actually based on love!
