what a week! an earthquake and a hurricane! i mean, how do you dress for those kinds of events?! thankfully, the hurricane didn't impact any of my outfits during the week and the earthquake..well...all it did was knock over my little model McQueenadillo shoe.
my absolute favorite dress i own - a beautiful silk confection from Timo Weiland's SS11 collection.
. i saw this on the 'runway' when they showed last fall and instantly fell in love.
the ruffling along the back is absolutely stunning. it's the most perfect dress i own, and i wear it as much as physically possible! and i think the messy braid was a perfect compliment to the construction of the dress.
pants, the gap. top, self-modified jcrew. shoes, banana republic. long, straight, severe ponytail, inspired by Marc Jacobs fall 2011 runway! loved this look...i really like doing sharp lines and classic looks with modern twists.
black jeresey dress, jcrew. long sleeve top, Madewell. pony hair leopard print booties...leopard print is the gift that keeps giving. i love pairing them with a short hemline and long sleeves!
running errands to prepare for Hurricane Irene! shorts, self-modified the Gap. top, anthropologie. jute bottom flats, Steve Madden.
fall is almost here, everyone!! can't wait!
stay safe & dry this weekend, east coasters...
