Kanye West & Mugler - Spring/Summer 2012

Caitlin Surakitbanharn

the subtitle of this post is.... Don't Quit Your Day Job.

part one - Mugler

hey, atleast less nipples in this collection, right?  Nicola Formichetti showed his sophomore collection for Mugler in Paris and Lady Gaga did not walk the runway so not only was the collection a complete mess, it was a boring, entertainment-less mess.  weird cutouts, nothing new, and unwearable silhouettes - typical Formichetti.  to ANYONE who was saying this collection was "amazing" or "chic" is blinded by their fangirl love of Nicola and Lady Gaga.  it makes me nauseous to think this...THIS..walked at Paris Fashion Week!

part two - Kanye West

(LOOK at the back of the dress on the girl who's walking back.  OMG.)

the fit. fur. iridescence pants with a matching iridescent sweatshirt-top thing.  leather.  more fur.  weird clunky shoes.  THE FIT.  boobs on the verge of flying out.  THE FIT.  dear lord...Kanye...keep it to the stage, and stay off the runway.  and if you must torture us with more runway shows..please hire a tailor.  ill fitting clothes are never a good idea - especially when it's your first time trying to impress the fashion elite.  i applaud the effort but really - stick to your day job.  leave the Paris runway shows to the professionals.

moral of the post: celebrities shouldn't be fashion designers (two exceptions: Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen and Victoria Beckham.  that's it)
