style file - this week's highlights

Caitlin Surakitbanharn

Fall has fallen!!!  it's finally, finally here in new york city - and the jackets are out!  my favorite fall ritual is waking up on cool mornings and going out in my leggings, TOMS, sunglasses, and jacket to get lattes.  sometimes, we even sit on the benches on the corner of Prince and 6th Ave to drink them and enjoy the quiet that New York offers at 8 am.

the going-to-get-lattes look.  leggings, Lululemon. long sleeve modal tshirt, Alexander Wang. shoes, TOMS.  sunglasses, The Row.

off to work after only getting 5 hours of sleep (the Deadmau5 concert - so amazing, soo kicked my ass!) - jeans, Ksubi. silk backed cotton tshirt, Alexander Wang.  leopard flats, Banana Republic circa 2007 (old school!).

off to an important meeting! pants, The Gap. blazer, The Limited. black patent pumps, Chrisitian Louboutin.  blowout, my hair guy!

Saturday running errands. leggings, Lululemon. tank top, Nike. camel leather bomber jacket, Banana Republic (my all time favorite, it goes with everything). shoes, Jack Purcell. purse, Kate Spade.

also, this week was an adventure in updating all of my Apple devices to iOS5.  it went 50/50 for me.  updating the phone resulted in a trip to the Genius Bar (the worst) and the iPad went smoothly.  does anyone else hate the Genius Bar as much as i do?  i seem to only end up at the Genius Bar when my devices are complete disasters - and the calm, serene lighting and atmosphere of Apple stores are just mocking my terror and panic as my iPhone is giving me a black screen of death...right?

Halloween is right around the corner and then it's November...time for the holidays!
i've started taking cooking classes - an effort to be able to prepare a great meal for my family on Christmas Eve.
it's a whole new chapter for me - learning proper cooking skills!  i'm a very good cook, but learning new techniques and honing my skills is so great, i'm really enjoying it!

i expect i will soon be looking for a chic apron to wear!!
